UMC (working title):
The project concentrates on the lives of unaccompanied migrant children (UMC) who are about to reach or recently reached adulthood (age 18) and are living on the streets of Spain.
This subject group illuminate the structural, systematic and legal disdain shown by the Spanish state, and by extension, the EU, towards UMC.
The project contains the creation of a feature documentary film and a support initiative for this subject group, in Spain.

Experimental sound performance. Part one contains a duet version of Dror Feiler’s new chamber composition ‘Refuse’, based on the poem
‘Nine monsters’ by Cesar Vallejo, and vocalized by Meira Asher. Part two contains structured improvisation based on writings by Mahmoud Darwish.

Jasser - the opera is a Bodylab initiative led by Ilonka van den Bercken and Guy Harries. It is based on a theatre play by the well-known Moroccan/Dutch author Abdelkader Benali
(winner of the Libris prize 2003). It is a monologue in which a Palestinian actor in the Netherlands reveals his past, his dreams and his inner conflict.
The forces of an ensemble, an actor, a soprano singer and electronic sound are united in order to present this universal theme from the point of view of an individual.
