This subject group illuminate the structural, systematic and legal disdain shown by the Spanish state, and by extension, the EU, towards UMC. The project contains the creation of a feature documentary film and a support initiative for this subject group, in Spain. Read more Close(d)-Close: Experimental sound performance. Part one contains a duet version of Dror Feiler’s new chamber composition ‘Refuse’, based on the poem ‘Nine monsters’ by Cesar Vallejo, and vocalized by Meira Asher. It is based on a theatre play by the well-known Moroccan/Dutch author Abdelkader Benali (winner of the Libris prize 2003). It is a monologue in which a Palestinian actor in the Netherlands reveals his past, his dreams and his inner conflict. The forces of an ensemble, an actor, a soprano singer and electronic sound are united in order to present this universal theme from the point of view of an individual.
